Product details
1909-11 T206 Sweet Caporal Hal Chase (Portrait-Blue Background) in raw format (estimated poor condition). Slick fielding first baseman Hal Chase, known as "Prince Hal" for his ability to charm his way with people but he was anything but princely. After charges of bribes, bets and throwing games stateside; Chase, in 1925, tried to start a league in Mexico where he owned a cafe. American League president Ban Johnson knew the president of Mexico and had him deported back to the United States. The back displays a "Sweet Caporal - 350 subjects" reverse with a factory 25 caption. This raw version of this iconic card is well worn, but is an opportunity at a raw example which is an affordable option and makes it a great "entry level" version of one of the iconic cards of all time.
