Product details
Jacob Ruppert (1867-1939), the billionaire brewery heir and owner of the New York Yankees from 1915 to 1939, is most famous for the strategic acquisition of Babe Ruth that birthed the Yankees dynasty. Ruppert famously paid $100,000 for Ruth from the Red Sox, changing the course of the rival franchises and beginning the 86 year title drought known as "The Curse Of The Bambino". Miller Huggins (1878-1929), nicknamed "Mighty Mite" for his small stature, was a Hall of Fame player and manager best known as the architect of the New York Yankees' first dynasty in the 1920s. He led the fabled "Murderers' Row" teams, featuring stars like Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, to six American League pennants and three World Series titles. Finding signatures of each is incredibly difficult, to find them BOTH one over the other on an item unobstructed by other signers, is a near impossibility. These two Architects of the New York Yankees original dynasty are seldom offered, let alone featuring such stunningly bold fountain pen autographs. This cut has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA, and given an incredibly high grade of NM-MT 8. This incredibly rare piece is maybe seen once in a collectors lifetime, and rarely if ever outside of an auction house environment.
