Roberto Clemente reached his 3,000th and final regular-season hit on September 30, 1972, becoming the 11th MLB player to reach this milestone. His accolades include the 1966 National League MVP, 1971 World Series MVP, 15 All-Star selections, four NL batting titles, and 12 Gold Glove Awards for his fielding in right field. Clemente was part of the Pirates' World Series victories in 1960 and 1971, batting .414 in the 1971 series and getting a hit in every World Series game he played. He is widely regarded as one of the best players to ever play the game, whose life was tragically cut short when his plane crashed while delivering aid to Nicaragua. A must have signatue for any 3000 hit club or Pirates collector. Willie "Pops" Stargell played his entire 21-season career (1962Ð1982) with the Pittsburgh Pirates, finishing as the franchise's all-time leader in home runs and RBIs. He was the heart of the "We Are Family" team that won the 1979 World Series. Stareglls' historic 1979 Season saw him become the first and only player to win the NL MVP, NLCS MVP, and World Series MVP in the same season. Stargell compiled 475 HRs during his Hall Of Fame career, and was the best power hitter of the 1970s. He and Clemente formed a formidable 1-2 punch in th heart of the Pittsburgh Pirates 1971 World Series championship team. Both Pirates stars helped deliver 2 championships each (1 shared) during their playing days. This incredible oversized photo cut features a massive Roberto Clemente signaure on one side, with a beautifully penned Stargell on the reverse.
