Product details
Roy Campanella, nicknamed "Campy", was a pioneering Hall of Fame catcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers who was an instrumental figure in the integration of Major League Baseball following Jackie Robinson's debut. A three-time National League MVP, his playing career was tragically cut short by an automobile accident in January 1958 that left him paralyzed. Campanella won the NL MVP award in 1951, 1953, and 1955, the last of which was the same year he helped the Dodgers win their only World Series championship in Brooklyn. This album page cut is beautifully signed by Roy Campanella in bold blue ink, and it is authenticated with a full Letter of Authenticiy from JSA Authentication.
